Greetings!
It's 10am, waking up in the morning. Gotta be fresh, gotta be interviewed. (Sing it to the tune of Friday by Rebecca Black).
^ This basically sums up yesterday morning for me. I'm all cosy in bed when my room phone starts ringing incessantly. Causing me to get up and stumble over; barely awake and mumbling a "Hello?".
"Hi [Miss Invisible]! It's ___ from Subway! How are you?"
*Instant freak out/mini hyperventilation/suddenly awake/instant politeness*
"Hi there! I''m good! How are you?" <- In an instantly cheery voice.
So the next 10-15 minutes was spent on him giving me a phone interview and basically explaining what will be required of me, etc etc. From the sounds of it; I practically have the job, but I don't wanna get too cocky just yet!
He's planning on giving me 16 hours over Saturday's and Sunday's. Meaning I'll have to travel home from Uni every weekend. But for at least $160 a week..? I'll happily do it!
One downside is that I have to attend a compulsory induction this Saturday morning. The problem I have with this is that it means I have to go home the weekend before exam period... I was planning on staying at Uni and studying my backside off; instead I have to fight off distractions at home. Not difficult to do necessarily, but still a nuisance.
The rest of the day was relatively uneventful. I went to lunch. Came back. Procrastinated study way too much... I did some. But it was in bits and pieces. Eventually it came around to dinner; of which I did some study afterwards. Then it was a short Pitt meeting to basically reinforce the 24/7 no noise policy over the next three weeks (Yeah... If we're heard by our neighbours, we're too loud. This normally only occurs after 10:30pm, but during SWOTVAC & exams? It's 24/7. And if you're caught? There's no warning. It's immediately an incident report that's sent off to the guy who runs Halls. O.O) and, of course, food!!! A few Doritos later, I was talking to a new found good friend of mine (can't think of a nickname yet) for an hour before another friend [America!] came and chastised me; before sending me off to my room to go study.
I came back and was feeling tired, so was not planning on getting much study done... That was until [Riot!] completely shocked me by earnestly demanding I do study. My shock then turned into a want to study just to appease him... It was weird guys, but it worked! I managed to write notes on one plant family before succumbing to my tiredness and going to bed. I guess that's what happens when your boyfriend decides to change his methods of attempting to get me to study... ^.^
Today, my alarm didn't go off so I awoke at 11am, much to my annoyance. I had wanted to attend a session on plants to help get my head round it, but by the time I woke up it was over. I, instead, went to lunch. Then I came back and formed a sketchy, possible timetable for next semester's classes. (If it works, I get Monday's off... Yew!). By the time that had finished, and announcement rang over the intercom saying that the recreation club is open and there's tie dying going on. So, of course, I grabbed a pillow case and my lab coat; and raced on over. An hour and a half later, I'd made a new friend (We have the same last name... How is that not a basis for friendship? :P), my legs were splattered in die, and I had a rainbow pillow case & lab coat. I'm pretty sure I didn't tie the elastic bands tight enough around them, so I most likely won't have white lines where they went... But... It'll be rainbow! I'm winning regardless ^.^
Which reminds me... Might wanna go and fetch them off of the line...
Nope. Still soaking wet... The weather isn't exactly fantastic drying weather though. Grey skies, freezing cold but not much wind... Blech.
Anyways! So I'm currently warm and cosy in my rabbit-hole of a bedroom. My legs are still splattered with dye & my fingers are stained as well... I've heard that this stuff doesn't come out for a couple of weeks at least... Oh well! It was worth it ^.^ Dinner's in an hour, then I'm going to a Hall in town for choir as it's designed to provide the best acoustics... So keen!!! Then I'll come back home and nail the last two plant families so I can start studying the rest of the darn subject over the next three days before the weekend.
