Permission to kill Rebecca Black?

If the title didnt give it away already, I shall tell you who Rebecca Black is.

Rebecca Black has recently released a song called "Friday".

Now... I, being a singer, know when someone's voice is in tune, or whether or not they acually can sing!
My dearest friend [Tenuto Tuo] decided to show me Rebecca's song yesterday, and as soon as it started my ears began to bleed...

Never have I heard such a terrible song! She sounds as though she is speaking more than singing, and even with Autotune, she sounds absolutely dreadful! Her voice is enough to drive the most sane person up the wall, and the lyrics are most definitely some of the worst written lyrics I have ever seen or heard.

Basically, she decides to tell us of her day (going down the stairs, eating breakfast, going to the bus stop, and then deciding whether to sit in the front seat or te back seat of her friend's car...) Now, I'm sure she leads an interesting life... But I don't find it difficult, nor interesting, to hear that she can't seem to decide between the front seat or the back seat... Or that today is Friday, yesterday was Thursday, tomorrow is Saturday and Sunday is the day afterwards... WOW! Who would've known...

The sad thing about this song is that it has become so popular because it is so bad... It's so dreadful, it's getting in people's heads, encouraging them to sing it. I personally have been hounded with [Tenuto Tuo]'s constant singing of it, partly to annoy me, partly because it's "so bad it's good".

Having just finished an English Extension lesson on the topic of Feminism; I felt it was fitting to put what I learnt to practice...

Well, the first thing I noticed was that she had to go down to the bus stop... Now, me being extremely over-analytical about this, I could say this means that she has been deprived of rights to a car of her own, and has been reduced to catching the school bus. When her friends arrive, a boy is driving the car, also supporting the notion that girls may not be "good enough" to drive...
The line "Kickin' in the front seat, Sittin' in the back seat, Gotta make my mind up, Which seat can I take?", when noticing the line "Which seat CAN I take"; this suggests that she has to ask what she can or can't do. Also notice how she then goes and sits in the backseat of the car, suggesting that she is not considered as an equal, and is lower-class.

There is also the line "We is so excited". As well as horrifying myself and fellow grammar Nazi's; this line makes a middle-class teenager look low-class. The line belittles her and makes her look rather, well... Stupid! (Though the entire song accomplishes this effect...)

There also seems to be a wannabe Usher who has a rapped verse in the song. He sings a line "Passin' by is a school bus in front of me"... Now this to me suggests that he is a stalker, and is following the bus to ensure that all the girls do the right thing (whatever that may be, feel free to fill in the blanks). I mean who knows! Feminism can be taken in so many ways, and to be perfectly honest, my readings may be a little rough around the edges considering I only learnt this theory two hours ago...

Through the second verse and chorus it is subtly hinted that Rebecca is looked at as a sexual object for guys. I noticed this cause there was this one guy that seemed to be like oh-ho yesss, and seemed to gesture to her at least twice within 30 seconds... (Or maybe that's just my thinking???)

I also seemed to notice that the song shows Rebecca as a white middle-class teenager, talking and acting somewhat like a black lower-class teenager... Back to the line "We so excited", that could be Rebecca trying to portray herself as 'hip' or 'cool' to both white and black people... I'm not entirely sure, this is just the impression I'm receiving here!
