OK... Well I have decided that I should most likely explain the reasoning behind my display name and the title of my blog page...
Miss Invisible is the title of a song by an absolutely gorgeous singer by the name of Marié Digby. She is an American singer so is not that well known over where I live (ahhh good ol' Orstralia...) but her voice amazes me every time I listen to it and she would definitely be one of my major idols that I wish I could be as good as!
The reason why Miss Invisible screamed out "PICK ME!!!" would most likely be because I had a difficult childhood and in a sense, still have difficult teen years, in the sense of feeling quite left out or socially inept. Don't get me wrong! I now have an absolutely amazing group of friends who I love so much and I'm sure they feel the same! But my own personal insecurities can still get the better of me and I feel like an outsider or someone who isn't noticed (hence Invisible)...
I guess you could also think of being invisible as being a quiet, but potentially strong achiever who will be there at the 10-20 school year reunion and would have kicked everyone's ass! (Well, here's hoping anyways...)
Writing My Own Symphony... Funnily enough came from another of Marié's songs called Symphony. Now me being a singer would most definitely have an influence over the choice of this title; though I also have been playing the clarinet for around half a year, so you know... You could say my life involves a fair amount of music :)
The line in the song "Just let me write my own symphony" sparked some passion in me that I haven't felt in a while! It got me thinking, writing a blog is like writing a symphony... Let the words (or lyrics, or music notes, or whichever image you are receiving right now) take you somewhere else... At least temporarily! This is what I am now beginning to experience in this new world of blogging :P
Though the thought of complete strangers (possibly) reading this makes me feel a little squeamish... Overall, I find it satisfying to get my view of the world out there and all I can hope is that people agree with me!
So whether you think you might be Miss Invisible or if you just want to Write Your Own Symphony. Don't be shy about it! Get your point out there and you'll be amazed at how much it can change your life!
