The Storm Is Over

Three months is a long time... I know... I've been way too distracted by everything at Uni, so yeah... I'm sorry mmkay!!!

Oh! And I was looking through previous posts and noticed that I changed a couple of people's nicknames without any forewarning so I'm just going to clear this up...
[Sasquatch] and [vs49688] are the same person. I shall refer to him only as [Sasquatch] from now on though.
Also, [That Dancer Chick] and [Dancer] are the same girl. I must have gotten lazy...
Sorry for any confusion guys!

I do believe that the last time I blogged, I had left you at the end of my second week of University; when I was a bright-eyed, innocent Fresher. Now, I'm just under a month away from mid-year holidays; with exams starting next week.

A lot has happened over the past three months, but only the major events stick out in my mind; and there was no way I'm stating absolutely everything I have done! O.O

Okay, well... Pretty much from where I left off, up until now, I've been going to classes like a good Uni student. Being trodden on by a horse here, flipping a sheep there, and chasing after wild mice everywhere... Animal Biology has been an easy subject that I think I've done well in, same with Basic Mathematics and Animal Welfare, Behaviour and Handling. It's Plant Biology that I'm really struggling with... I just can't seem to get my head around the darn subject!

Since the Scribble party; I didn't really attend that many parties until recently... I've been attending a lot more parties, and I think it's because I'm starting to catch on to the Uni's atmosphere and am beginning to turn into more of a typical 'Pittling'. ~Those who live in Pitt are known as Pittlings.~
Don't get me wrong! I'm still 100% not keen on getting drunk or tipsy for that matter (a story later on will let you know why); I'm just becoming more outgoing, more fun-loving, more wanting to have a good time sort-of-thing...

A major party I attended earlier this year was themed UV. Basically, make yourself glow as much as possible. They extended the club, fit in some UV lights, and the night was just so much fun... The next one I attended was themed Gym Junkies & Sport Enthusiasts. That was the night where I met a guy (whom I shall dub [Regal Pain], I have my reasons ;P) who I went on a Macca's trip and watched movies all night with... Of course, being University, all of Pitt took this as so much more than what we did... But a friendly reminder that I have a boyfriend to whom I'm devoted too quickly put them in their place.

Come As Ya Mum was another theme of a party that I went too. Dressed as a seductive school teacher/secretary person wearing 3D glasses (like a boss), I headed down to the common room to meet up with everyone; including a new found friend of mine. I'm calling him [Master Dance], and he doesn't actually study where I am. He's a friend of a fellow Pittling friend of mine; and spends most of his time studying in NSW. When I met him, he wasn't exactly sober... But he added me on Facebook the next day, and we've been talking almost non-stop ever since (this party would have been around a month or two ago). He's an incredible guy who I get along with way too well with! ;P

The most recent party I attended was Dinner Under The Stars on Thursday night... (The Thursday just gone).

This party was insane!

It started with pre-dinner drinks at 6pm in the Foundation Building. The theme was Masquerade (LOVE) so it was amazing to see close to 400 people gathered all looking stunning in suits/dresses and different types of masks. There were welding masks, $2 masks, etc... Some of them were hilarious and some of them were just amazing!
All alcohol provided at the pre-dinner drinks and dinner was free. Which, of course, meant that people were drunk by dinner, or at least afterwards... This is the story I mentioned earlier as it turned out that I got myself tipsy that night. I had a glass of champagne at pre-dinner, and was sipping on wine throughout dinner; and I didn't realise that that would have set me over. The club was after dinner and I didn't drink anything while at the club, but (being so new at the alcohol game), because I'm a 'lightweight'; it affected me through almost the entire night. As normal as I felt; I apparently stumble more than usual, over-exaggerate my hands and head when talking, and flirt. A lot. I kicked myself mentally when I realised how far gone I was.
I don't know how people can handle being tipsy/drunk! I can't handle not being able to fully control my thoughts, actions and words... And for those who get exceedingly drunk, I like to remember what I did the next day! Most people at my Uni give me funny looks whenever I state my views; but I don't care. Thursday night reminded me to watch myself from now on when it comes to parties... Just stick with the one drink [Miss Invisible]!

Anyways. During dinner, the MTV video's were presented. This was a competition where each Hall put together a video to a song of their choice representing the Hall as though it was an actual music video. Pitt did ours to Good Feeling by Flo Rida. We changed the lyrics, and had a blast recording it. Pitt came third, above Thynne; below Shelton and Riddell who won. I will admit. Riddell's video was amazing, and the song is so catchy that half of Pitt goes around at the moment whistling/humming/singing it. I don't know the name of the song, but it was Alice in Wonderland themed and was just... Fun to watch!

On a random note, Pitt offered a Southbank trip to those interested about a month ago; and I was not about to turn that down! I spent the day chilling at Max Brenner's, going to the sushi train, and walking around and around the markets at least six times through. I just love the Southbank markets... No matter how many times you go through there's still something that catches your eye!
That day, I bought the mask I wore to Dinner Under The Stars, a bracelet, as well as a pair of pants and a gypsy-like skirt from this wonderful woman who we basically became friends with because we kept on coming back to her stall in particular ^.^
The next day, the woman sent a friend and I a challenge to get 10 customers within a week and she'll give us a free pair of pants each. We ended up with about 30 by the end of that same day; and the order of pants arrived two days ago. All 40 pairs! (Including the free ones). I am currently wearing one of them (I bought another one in the order so I now have three pairs heehee); and they are the most amazing things ever! Roomy, comfortable, colourful... It's orgasmic! :P
For those absolutely confounded by what I am saying, or would like to know more. I have the Facebook page right here -> https://www.facebook.com/pages/Indian-BlissSimply-Stunning-Styles/282178241801009?ref=ts

You know [Dancer]'s boyfriend who I hadn't yet decided a name on? I threw around ideas like [YESman] and [AwwYeah!], but I've picked a new one... [BrotherBear]. I'll explain why.
[Dancer] and I have been best friends almost as long as I have lived in Queensland. But things over the past three months have turned things sour to the point where I have no idea what's going on anymore.
To put it simply. [Dancer] and [BrotherBear] crashed and burned. It turns out that my initial thoughts of "Wow. [BrotherBear] is really good for [Dancer]. Maybe he can set her on the right track." were completely off...
I'm not going into the story of what happened on here. Mostly because most of my information I received from [BrotherBear], and it's their business not mine to post online.
This situation made me feel closer to [BrotherBear]. I felt so protective over him, and was outraged at what he was telling me that she was doing to him; that I lashed out at her over Facebook. I regretted it instantly, of course, but it was too late. Her Mum, who I have considered to be my second QLD Mum for years; sent me a message basically reducing me to a piece of dirt on the side of the road. The irritating thing is, I know [Dancer] is most likely not entirely to blame for everything that has happened; but it's not like she's perfect... As much as her Mum continues to claim it.
To sum it up simply, I barely talk to [Dancer] anymore. I don't know if that's because she's trying to get me out of her life, or she spends too much time dancing/youth grouping/studying/whatever... And the only time [BrotherBear] tends to talk to me is whenever he has a problem with [Dancer] and wants me to fiercely back him up; which I have a tendency to always do... I really want to catch up with everyone these holidays, but at the same time; I'm apprehensive about it all.

Which reminds me... [Carl]! Always a good story going on with us, aye? Well... Up until a month ago we were fine and dandy. Talking as friends, having fun, whatever... Until he discovered that [Riot!] and I had celebrated our one year anniversary.
He got pissed off at me, of course, and was basically demanding how that could have happened since "we were together at the time", etc etc.
I had broken up with [Carl] at that point, but because of all the confusion, hurt and the fact that [Carl] just wouldn't leave me alone; he must have assumed we were together that entire time...
Basically, he was sulking and the last thing I said to him was "Whatever [Carl]" and then we stopped talking, and haven't talked since.
The awesome thing is though, this is the first time I haven't been affected by it one bit! I'm so over all the crap he's given me, that I was laughing my head off at his immaturity rather than getting upset myself that he had stopped talking to me.
Maybe it's Uni distracting me that's helping; but it doesn't matter. That bitch is out of my life, and I love it!

What else is there to share... Hmmm... Macca's is the lifeline of this place. It's quite funny actually. If ever the food was terrible at the dining hall, or if people are just hungry in between mealtimes... I hear "Macca's run!" at least 2-3 times a day, every day here. It's a five minute car trip down the road, or around a 20 minute to half hour walk... (I've never walked it so I wouldn't know). One Macca's trip I went on, resulted in a high-spirited race back home. Me, wedged between the driver and a friend in a Ute; and four girls in a car who had a head start and ended up winning. This race involved swerving so we couldn't overtake them, flipping birds out of car windows, parking in front of the entrance to the car park so we couldn't get passed, for us to just drive over the curb... It was way too much fun! Hehe.

I've joined the choir here, and it's fun! No particular way of standing or singing. Basically, just do it however you want and have a blast meanwhile. A late comer (known henceforth as [Tytanic]) voiced his want to improve his singing and be able to catch up on learning the songs; and I decided to help him.
We met up early one time and went through the songs. He has terrible pitch and completely disregards the fact that he has to follow the music on the page, not whatever he feels like singing. As much as that irks me, it's not my major problem with him.
From what he's told me, he has mental issues as well. ADHD, a little bit of Asperger's, a little bit of something else... I don't know, he just has a few things.
I think I was one of the only people offering him a hand of friendship and he took it willingly. But what did it mean for me? It meant listening to him drone on about how he "can't get his mind straight" and him constantly asking me how I managed to do it. I don't think he understands that that's not something you can just ask... It took me years of struggling to get where I'm at now, and I'm still nowhere near perfect. Just by me telling him my efforts, doesn't mean it works for him! He needs to find his own method, and my methods are personal to me anyway; so it was quite blatant of him to request such a thing from me.
What are his current methods of dealing with his problems? Alcohol... Dinner Under The Stars? There was the usual Wednesday night party the night before, as well as Vet Smoko on the Friday night. Three parties in a row to which he attended all three and drank so much. Friday night caused him to wake up in a hospital the next day.

This. Disgusts. Me.

Drinking just to forget his problems. It insults me personally. I went through similar to problems to him; possibly even worse than what he's dealing with. Yet I never thought twice about suicide, drinking, smoking, or drugs... All of which (except drugs) [Tytanic] looked to as a solution.
Yesterday was the last straw for me and I basically told him I was no longer going to give him singing lessons and be his friend if he was going to continue acting this way. It was harsh, but it was truthful; and he sent me a message not long after telling me how "I'm a genius" and how me being truthful will eventually help him in the long run and he was going to try not drink and everything... I struggle believing him, but if he does ever manage to clean up his act; I'm willing to be there as a friend again.

So that's basically all the major events that have happened over the past three months. Now I'm sitting in my room at the start of SWOTVAC, procrastinating Plant Biology study by writing this...
For those who don't know, SWOTVAC stands for Studying WithOut Teaching VACation. Basically, we have no lectures/tutorials/practicals for an entire week. Instead, it is used for study before the exam period starts next week.
I only have three exams, and two of them I'm not stressing over too much as I'm sure it won't be difficult to pass them. It's PB that worries me most... I just need to pass, then hope that my other subjects will bring it up; and next semester I can get that GPA of 6 so I can get into Veterinary Science... Here's hoping!!!

Until next time fellow blog-lings ;D

Hit It Head On!

Okay, so it's been another month... Laziness prevailed yet again! I apologise :3

So... I'm currently sitting in my room at the Uni where I'm living!!! :D It's a pretty neat room considering... I mean, comparing to rooms my parents had to deal with when they were involved in the RAAF; this is luxury! :P

Since the last time I blogged, not much had happened in the two weeks succeeding it; but the last two weeks have been jam packed! I shall begin from Tuesday the 21st of February, which is the day before I moved out.

Tuesday 21st:
I used the day to pack everything into two suitcases, and three bags... With plenty of loose stuff unable to fit as well! But they were things like a bar fridge, fan, etc... At around 4pm, I headed over to [Riot!]'s to return a couple of his books and spend the last hour or so with him before Mum arrived to take me, and the rest of the family, out to dinner. This was both a celebration of Mum's birthday, and me going away. From memory, I believe I spent the rest of the night in my room; savouring the last few hours I had left with my Queen size bed! :P

Wednesday 22nd:
MOVE IN DAY!!!
6am wake up, with the next hour and a half spent getting myself decent; as well as packing last minute things into the car along with the rest of it all. Waved off the siblings, and headed off to the Uni around 7:30am.
We arrived at around 8:40am (20 minutes early) and headed up to the building where we told to go for receiving the room key and directions to the rooms. We headed up the stairs and were greeted by people dressed in either red, blue, green or purple. The colourful, friendly people directed us to a room where they took my photo (for database purposes) and gave me my key. Returning outside, they asked what house I was staying in; to which I replied with Pitt. The people in green gave a cheer, and one of them came forward to take my parents and I to Pitt Hall.
When we arrived, my parents and I had three hours until Lunch to do whatever. So we threw everything onto the tiny standard single bed, and organised a few of the things into semi-piles. We then walked around the entire campus, finding the main places of interest. We sussed out the new gym and pool facilities (that I get for free!) which were pretty schmancy; followed by the Post Office where I got a PO box for people to send me mail in. Other places such as the library and the bookshop were also checked out! :P

On returning back to my room, I met a girl who was moving into the room across the hall from me. We introduced ourselves as my Dad and her Mum were having the "I've seen you before?" discussion. Turns out they knew each other from work! 'Tis a small world...
Anyways, so we made good friends and when it hit 12:30pm we headed over to the Dining Hall for the free lunch held for parents and new residents. After more introductions, and the usual chit-chat; the head of the Halls of Residence made a speech that I can't remember what it was about... It was most likely general information mostly targeted at parents, but relevant to residents as well. It was then where my parents and I said our final goodbyes, as we residents had an information session separate to the one the parents had to go to.
The new residents gathered in what I now know as the Main Lecture Theatre; where we had a welcome speech from members of the Res Club and Res Staff. For those who don't know the difference between them; the Res Club are in charge of the organisation of all social activities for Halls throughout the year, wheareas the Res Staff are a handful of students from each Hall who are in charge of mentoring us newbies, as well as helping out with minor issues such as security, loss of keys, snakes, that sort of thing... Yes! There are plenty of critters wondering about here. And there has already been a snake spotted by my hall, but thankfully it's over by the third Pitt block; not the second which I am in. :3
They ended the speech with the Res Club and Res Staff performing a dance for us. Little did I know at the time, that that was to be our "Fresher Dance". We are referred to as freshers, and every single time the song Set It Off by Timomatic comes on; everyone has to stop whatever they are doing and do the dance. No exceptions! And yes, this dance involves thrusting movements, doing tiger claws and saying "RAH!", Elvis moves, Mick Jagger moves, plus more... When doing it with other people though, it's actually quite fun. :3
Once we had learned our Fresher dance and played a couple of introductory games; we headed down to the oval to play Watermelon Touch. <- Awesome game!!!
Okay, so as it sounds; it is a normal game of Touch Football... Only using a watermelon instead of the normal ball. I didn't play the game of touch myself (as I barely would have been able to lift those massive things...); but that didn't stop me from participating in the watermelon fling between Halls.
See, as the watermelons are so heavy; within the first couple of seconds it's been dropped, making it break into smaller pieces. The biggest piece is used to continue play with; as residents that aren't playing (if they want too) run onto the field and grab any pieces left over. They then take them back to the area where they were seated, and the attack of the watermelon begins! I personally managed to land a couple of pieces on heads so I was quite proud of myself; as well as not getting overly sticky myself! ;D
Once every Hall had versed each other (pretty sure no one scored...); we headed back to our rooms for a quick shower before meeting back in the common room. It was then that we were presented with garbage bags for a Garbage Bag Formal dinner. Me, lacking in creativity, opted for a simple black dress with a purple tie and anklet; as well as a green belt. Other people had done some pretty awesome stuff with their garbage bags that made me feel quite "plain jane" next to them! :P
Dinner was good, and was interrupted with the MTV videos each Hall presented last year as the cultural part of the competition for House Cup. They explained to us that the same will be required of us this year so we should start brainstorming ideas; this was then followed with the Fresher dance which I struggled with due to the limiting movement of the garbage bags.
About an hour after dinner, a Bright, Tight & Sparkly themed party was held at the club on campus. I didn't have anything overly bright, tight, or sparkly... But I did have my bright orange 'Fresher vest', which did the job. ~Every Fresher received a bright orange safety-like vest which says O-Week, Hit it Head On! on the back; and we had to wear it all week up until 3pm Sunday.~
Seeing as it was the first day and I didn't know anybody, I only ended up staying for an hour before I headed back to my room; going to bed at around 10:30pm. As early as that was, I struggled falling asleep due to the new bed; and it turned out that I needed as much sleep as I could get! ~You'll understand in the next paragraph~

Thursday 23rd:
Now... There are speakers in every single room within the Halls. All connected with the same PA system. So, here I was happily asleep, dreaming about whatever... When at 4:30am a horn was being blown over the speaker in my room; as well as the rest of Pitt.
*BRRRRTTTT* My impression of the sound of a horn...
"Good morning Pitt! It's time to go do some aerobics! Get dressed, put some shoes on, and let's go!"
*BRRRRRTTT* *Sounds of other Pitt staff running from door to door, banging on them*
"Come on [Miss Invisible], wake up!!!" *Bang bang*
"Come on Pitt, let's go let's go let's go!"
Shocked, I practically fell out of bed and scrambled to get clothes and shoes on so I could stop all the noise from happening. ~Sensitive hearing at 4:30 in the morning was not a good mix!~

It continued for another five to ten minutes while other people were clearly having trouble getting out of bed; but thankfully I got out pretty quickly and escaped to the common room where I was greeted by faces that probably looked similar to mine...
Once everyone had congregated, the way-to-energetic Res Staff led us to a grassy area where we waited for the other three Halls to grudgingly meet up with us. Once everyone was there, a gym junkie from my Hall led us through about 30-40 push-ups, burpees, sit-ups and starfish jumps; in blocks of ten so we don't die too much... The grass was nice and wet due to it raining throughout the night, so the push-ups and sit-ups were a pleasure to do... After making us do that, they made us do the Fresher dance; before letting us go with grins on their faces, saying that they're cooking a breakfast for us at 7am.
Considering it was about 5am at this point, I didn't much see the point in going to sleep for an hour and a half, only to never want to get up again. So, instead, I kept myself entertained on the computer; before heading down to a breakfast of sausages, bacon and eggs.
A couple of hours later I was heading off to seminars and checking out the Market Day that was being held. Casually walking past a stall and doubling back in horrific shock as you realise that it's a sexual health awareness stall with objects on display that scarred my vision and thoughts for a while... Let's just say, Uni is very much different to high school!
At around 2pm, I headed back to my room and ignored the speakers as our Pitt rep told everyone that a pool party was being held; and instead went to sleep. Waking up nice and refreshed for dinner, then heading back to my room to prepare for an early night. A Casino Royale themed party was held, but after the previous night; I didn't bother.

Friday 24th:
Had a nice lovely sleep in before heading out with my new found friend [Snoopy] (the girl who I met on the first day) to arrange business such as attending a couple more seminars, buying anything we didn't previously have in the bookstore, etc. At around 5pm, the speakers informed us that there was to be a Hall Crawl starting at 5:30pm.
Now [Snoopy] told me, at the time, that she heard it might be similar to what's known as a "Pub Crawl". Such events normally consist of drinking at one pub, then going to another one, and another one, and another one; pretty much resulting in a lot of people being drunk off their faces incredibly quickly. So, terrified, I went down to the common room just to see whether it was that or not; otherwise I would have retreated back to my room faster than you can say "Uni!".
Thankfully, it had nothing to do with alcohol at all... There were different activities being held at each Hall, and groups were to travel between them; spending 45 minutes at each one.
The first one I went to was Riddell. Inside, in their (*Cough*Puny*Cough*) common room, they had the TV show Scrubs playing; but I opted to go to one of the outside activities. One was a game of Poison Ball, the other (which I spectated) was a couple of tarps on the ground covered with soap and water; in the form of a 'Slip and Slide'. I was incredibly tempted to do it, but I was running low on clothes as it was, and didn't want to deal with a disgusting Fresher vest for the rest of the week (we had to wear them regardless. Even during the pool party the previous day, Freshers had to wear them in the pool).
After Riddell, we travelled to Thynne. Here they were holding a game of
Signs for those who didn't want to brave spectating, or participating in the other two activities. One was a tin of spaghetti which had red frogs in there. Participants having to find them with their mouth only. The second consisted of jugs of blue milk, and the participants competing in a Boat Race. I missed the first one, which from what I heard had nasty after effects in some people, but I watched the second one; where nothing interesting happened except this one girl threw half of her leftover milk at this guy who was making sexist comments. It was the best thing ever guys.

Next stop was back to Pitt and only inside games were being played there. In one room was Wink Murder and Bang!, then at half time we swapped to play Knights, Mounts and Cavaliers. I won the game of Bang!, so I had the pleasure to be the detective of Wink Murder where there was three murderers. =.= Let's just say, I failed miserably! Then with K, M & C; I got out after the first couple of rounds, but what I found hilarious was that I got out the round before the Res Staff started to make things interesting and call out sex positions instead of the usual three options... The look on the Freshers' faces was classic and most of them were incredibly hesitant. The game ended pretty quickly after that, and we proceeded to watch a dance off between two Res Staff members, followed by them playing Set It Off and us having to do the FD. <- Acronyms for the win!
The last Hall for the night was Shelton. Inside was a mini obstacle course where Pitt and Shelton versed each other with teams of four. Outside was a doughnut eating contest (they were hanging on strings, and couldn't use hands), and an International Guess-The-Food competition-like thing. I participated in the obstacle course, watched the last doughnut eating contest where one guy looked like he was eating the string as well as the doughnut... And I made it in time to watch the last Food one which only allowed International people in that round as they served up Vegemite. The blindfolded contestants were throwing around ideas, but it was my Texas neighbour who exclaimed "It's bloody Vegemite!" as soon as the spoon touched his lips; throwing it away from him almost immediately.
After the last contest, everyone was brought inside to receive a paddle pop ice-cream. Then, of course, they played Set It Off... At this point, most people had opened up and were beginning to eat their ice-creams, like myself... But! When the song comes on we have to dance! So we did! Just holding our ice-cream in one hand and whenever moves allowed our hands were not being used in a dance move, most people were licking their ice-creams to ensure it didn't melt. It was quite difficult, and I was thankful when it was over; but it was still hilarious!
By the time the Hall Crawl had finished, it was 8:30pm. So, laughing and discussing the night's events, we made our way back to our respective Halls and rooms; where most people then got ready for the Hats, Boots n' Boxers party. Again, I did not wish to attend. A part of the reason could be that I do not possess a hat, or boxers... But the same reason as the previous night still applied.

Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th:
I combined the weekend because not much happened until Sunday night. So didn't see the point in having separate ones... Hehe.
ANYWAYS! Saturday was spent just chilling in my room mostly... With [Snoopy] popping in here and there to provide me with random stories, or information about her much loved sport; NRL. *Shudder* I listen to her, for the sake of being a good friend. But my insides are dying every time she mentions it! :P

And Sunday was spent pretty much the same way. Just using up the internet before it was refreshed for the start of semester. Though Sunday was the day that all returning residents were moving in. This also marked the day where the division would occur between returning residents and Freshers. Some Freshers interact with the RRs here and there, but we mostly stick to ourselves now; as we all know each other really well from the first week of activities.
The Dining Hall was packed that night, and it wasn't made any easier when they played Set It Off, to which the Freshers groaned. Half the Dining Hall was dancing, and the other half was watching on in amusement; as they would have had to do the same thing last year. Only a different dance to a different song.
After dinner, everyone was getting changed into white shirts and grabbing markers for the much awaited Scribble Party. By this time, I had found myself a group of new buddies to hang out with; so I attended this one with enthusiasm. [Snoopy] was the first to attack my shirt by drawing a big Snoopy on the back (hence why her nickname is now Snoopy (and not just in the blog world)). I didn't get as much written as other people did, but looking at the content of some of the things written; I'm glad the worst I got was "Tits from Pitt", "I'm a Pitt Bitch", and "Open for All". Yes... Uni is a charming place.
The Res Staff had sworn themselves to an alcohol-free week at the start of O-Week, but the Scribble Party meant the end of that oath. Therefore, most of the Res Staff, and returning residents were pre-drinking before we had even reached the club. Which made for a very interesting atmosphere. After a 45 minute wait to get into the club (people got there early so they could guarantee a spot in there; as there was to be a lock-out that night), we got in there and I had a good night!
I tried a Vodka Cruiser for the first time, and I took an hour to drink it; much to the annoyance of one of my friends who quite likes to drink! But, it's my choice. And I have no idea how quickly I can consume alcohol without becoming tipsy or drunk; and I didn't want to risk it with classes starting the next day. We didn't dance, but we all hung around chatting and laughing along with random people who would come and chat for a bit, before heading off again. The only concerning factor was that people were buying pitchers of alcohol (as in small jugs), and drinking straight from them. All I could think was "Oooh! You are going to have a nice headache in the morning...". As it was, my Texas neighbour told me the next day that he spent $120 in that one night. Thankfully he saved up a fair amount of cash before coming up here!
We ended up leaving around 10pm, as that was the time when things were looking like they were going to go downhill; and we all headed to our respective rooms. I didn't plan on staying up much longer; so I set my alarm, got dressed, and pretty much just crashed on the bed! :3

Monday 27th:
FIRST DAY OF CLASSES!
Okay, so I am studying four subjects this semester.
Animal Biology; Plant Biology; Basic Maths; and Animal Welfare, Behaviour and Handling.
My timetable is pretty awesome in that four days out of five, the average time I finish for the day is 1pm. Only on Wednesday do I finish at 4pm; but I also get to sleep in that day so SCORE! Anyways. On Monday's agenda I had my first Animal Bio lecture, followed by my first Maths lecture.
The first hour of AB (starting at 9am) was introductory, then the next hour was spent on the lecturer going over topics I did in Year 11 and 12; making it rather difficult to stay focused. The Maths lecture was only an hour long, consisted of only an introduction, and finished at 12pm.
I spent the rest of the day organising slides to be printed the next day. Which is probably the worst day out of my timetable.

Tuesday 28th:
An 8am start with two hours of AB came first. It was more revision, but every now and again something would crop up that I never learnt in high school.
At 10am, my first Plant Biology lecture began. Normally the timetable goes: 1hr PB lecture, 1hr PB tutorial, 1hr PB lecture. But because the lecturer had no tutorial prepared for the first week; we just did a 2hr lecture. First hour was spent as introduction; and the second hour was spent on Floral Morphology. Don't ask me what that means, because I have no clue. Nor did I barely understand what she was saying half the time.
"Learning Botany is like learning a new language!"; said the lecturer in the introduction. She was correct. There was classifications within classifications, with so many names for so many things... I swear almost every word had "ae" or "eu" or some other ridiculous ordering of vowels! I was sitting there going D': I'm gonna fail this course... Of course, [Snoopy] was sitting there like "Oooh! I get most of this!". She's studying plants so her interest is a big boost for her! :P Oh well, she can help me out... Hehe. So we finished at 12pm, instead of 1pm which we will be the rest of semester.

Wednesday 29th:
Only had a Math lecture today! Practicals aren't starting until Week 2, so my AB prac that runs from 1-4pm wasn't on. I had a nice lie-in and headed to my 10am Math lecture for two hours where all we were learning about was fractions, decimals, and the BOMDAS rule. Everyone had to get these things called Clickers so we can answer questions out lecturer puts up on a slide, and it does a poll as to what percentage selected which answer (multiple choice); and which answer is correct.
That had to be the most fun lecture of the week. Our Indian lecturer is attempting to learn all of our names (there's at least 250 of us), he teaches us "Indian ways" of working out different Maths topics, and he just tries to make the lectures fun! Which, considering it's Maths, is actually working so far! (Or is it only cause it's been fractions..?). Hehe. Tw hours later, I was walking out thoroughly entertained and relaxed as I had nothing to do for the rest of the day.

Thursday 1st:
9am brought on my first two hour Maths tutorial. We had to split into groups of five, pick a group leader, and work on a worksheet for the whole two hours. Week two brings on weekly assignments which we have to work on together, but as it was fractions, I don't think the lecturer saw the point in doing one for the first week! :3 I really like the group I'm in. We're a funny bunch, and one of our members is pretty sure he's already done this course at another Uni; so he was helping us out if we had issues, and was getting quite passionate about it! At first it was cute, then it got plain annoying hearing nothing but his voice after awhile. No offence to him or anything!
So after the two hours were up (the hours go by quite quickly actually... It's amazing), I had lunch then retreated back to my room as the PB practical wasn't on.

Friday 2nd:
Woke up incredibly tired, but excited for my first AW,B&H lecture starting at 8am. Normally this lecture goes for two hours; but today it only went for one. It was an introductory hour with manual sign on for the practical at the end. Man... The sign on was insane!
Okay, so normally this is done electronically, but there were issues that couldn't be sorted, blah blah blah; which resulted in the need for manual sign on. When our lecturer brought out the papers, the tension in the room was almost unbearable. All eyes were focused on those papers, and the desire to get the morning practical. (You see... Nobody wants to stay back on a Friday afternoon for a 2-5pm prac, when they can leave so much earlier with a 10am-1pm one!). As soon as he started moving to place the papers at different points of the room, all hell broke loose.
People (including myself as I was fourth row back) were jumping over the chairs for a direct way to the bottom; while others closer to the sides ran down the stairs either side. I got to one of them pretty quickly, but was still on the outside of a group of four-five girls bent over it, furiously writing. Annoyingly, they were also writing down the names of the girlfriends who were yelling out; but after a few minutes I finally managed to wedge my hand in to write the first two letters of my name upside down. When more room cleared, I slowly wrote my name upside down (rather neatly I must say so myself, heh) while other people were fighting for the last few spots (I got in with about four spaces left?). It wasn't until the crowds finally disappeared that I could finally write down my student number, and go find the group of people I was in the lecture with to ask what session they got. Everyone I know got a morning session, except for my Texas neighbour who chose to get an afternoon session as he didn't need it like some people did. (Some people had Math tutorials, or family reasons, etc.). He isn't going anywhere anytime soon, so it didn't matter to him so much.
Once again, because no practicals were on, I had the rest of the day off!

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th:
[Snoopy] had gone back home for the weekend, so I was left relatively on my own this weekend just gone. I did have a few people I could have hung out with, but it was more difficult knowing what they were up too when they don't live right across the hall from me! :P
I spent the weekend in my room, plantsitting [Snoopy]'s Venus Fly Trap (which was kinda cool...) and writing this up! This blog has taken a total of three days (I wrote a bit on Friday) to write... Not non-stop! More because I could't hold my motivation and focus very long. Let's just say, this blog has been written in very small blocks over two whole days...
When I wasn't blogging, I was playing A LOT of Spider Solitaire. This game bores me after a while, yet I still play it..? Over and over again! Haha.

So it is now Sunday night! I am about to prepare myself for bed so I can plenty of rest for AB and Maths tomorrow, but I just need to finish this up first! :P
I have finally caught you guys up on the past two weeks... If I have bored you, deal with it! I'll write about something interesting eventually... ;D

So, I'm finding Uni pretty good so far. I mean... People are very different here. Alcohol and partying is considered a normal activity, and I haven't yet found someone who I can relate too... But, I'll get there I'm sure! I have a year after all! :P

Until then, I shall end my incredibly long post here! I shall try blog more often, but we'll see... Depends on my work load and/or my laziness! :3

It's A Matter Of Time

Hi guys! Two months since I last blogged, I know... And it is an insane amount of laziness that has caused this. No use in lying! Heh.

A lot to catch up on... Hmmm... Shall I begin where we left off?

I had just had a job interview with Subway... Well, that was unsuccessful. I think it was due to the fact that I was going on a small holiday in two weeks time that made things a little confusing or undesirable; thus I did not get the job.

The holiday was located in Ballina, NSW; and it was a relatively good week considering the circumstances...
We found a place that was pet friendly (which was handy, as putting three dogs into a kennel to stay is expensive!); but when we got there we found out that the dogs had to go everywhere with us. I mean EVERYWHERE. Where we were staying provided no backyard to put the dogs in while we were out; nor were they allowed to stay in the cabins without human 'supervision' let's say. Now... This caused a lot of issues, as half the things we had planned on doing, had to be cancelled as dogs were not permitted to venture in such places.
One of the planned events that had to be cancelled was dinner at a riverside restaurant on my 18th birthday. As much as that would have been nice, I'm not fussy and just liked being with the family on that day. As it so happened, we spent my birthday dinner eating at the kiosk at the place we were staying at; with the three dogs sitting around our table occasionally barking at other dogs they could spot or, in [Beau]'s (one of the dogs) case, stare at the lady who was singing all night and start barking in protest whenever she stopped. It was annoyingly adorable!
By the end of the week, the dogs were sick of being walked everywhere (which is a first for them), and family tension was running high; but it was pretty good overall!

I just realised I totally missed discussing my Christmas (which occurred before Ballina), woops! Okay, well, it was good. :P
[Dancer] and I (for what seems like as long as I can remember) have a tradition where my family and I spend the evening at her place on Christmas Eve, then they visit us on Christmas Day evening; leaving the morning for family and opening presents.
This was the first year I woke up in the "Christmas spirit" so to speak. The family all got on pretty well, and everything was amazing. It was incredible! :3

So, since returning from Ballina to present day; not much has happened really.

Well, I have had University stuff to begin organising of course... I applied for the Bachelor of Applied Science and got accepted in the first round offers. The only problem was that I had been rejected accommodation at the University at the time... (I need accommodation as the campus is too far out from home to travel to five days a week). So I hung in there until second round offers came out, which I was fortunate enough to get a room! Sure, I got stuck with the smaller of the four houses of accommodation; and I have to adjust from sleeping in a Queen sized bed to a standard single... But it's better than taking a year off trying to find work around these parts!

Of course, during this time my parents had organised a trip to America for September this year... The major issue with this is that my University only provides a week holiday around that time; when my parents have booked a two week holiday. With the way Uni works and everything, it's going to be incredibly difficult to get me on that plane flight with my family; so I've pretty much already accepted the fact that I'm most likely not going to go. Meaning I'll spend the week on my own, in the house instead. Occasionally inviting people over as I see fit. :P
Considering it's the first overseas holiday I'd be going on since I was three years old, I'm a little irritated... But I would much prefer the opportunity to go to University and get my studies underway in the end.

I haven't seen any member of my group of Year 12 friends since Schoolies. It's just as much my fault as it is theirs. I don't know whether I should contact them half the time, and when I think about it I never know what I would say or request of them... I mean, I did see [Clearly Unfocused] two days ago when she gave me my belated birthday present and we had a quick catch up chat then; but apart from that...
What doesn't help is the fact that almost the entire group (apart from [GoJo] are going to the one campus of the same Uni that I'm going too; yet I'm going to the far-flung one on my own.

I have caught up with [Dancer], [Riot!] and [Dancer]'s new boyfriend (FINALLY! Took them long enough to get together, honestly...) who I have no idea what to name... I was thinking along the lines of either [AwwYeah!] as that tends to be his catchphrase; or [YESman], as he has a tendency of saying "Yes!" in a unique way; and half the time involves him lifting his shirt up for no apparent reason... Hmmm... I'll get back to you on that one!
Anyways, so I've been catching up with those three mostly. But since school started up again, I've been home alone for days on end. It gets incredibly boring, very quickly! :P

Recently, [Riot!] and I attempted a Harry Potter movie marathon. I say attempted because well... We were halfway through the fifth movie when [Riot!] fell asleep. Of course, it was inevitable that this would happen! I know him too well, but he insisted he could do it! Well... Proved him wrong just a tad, hehe. Anyways, so I left him there for a bit while I watched a bit more of the movie; then I decided I wasn't going to stay up all night by myself... So I woke him up and directed to the spare bedroom where we lay there for a while talking.
It was this night that I got drawn, even closer, to [Riot!]. We opened up to each other more than we ever had before, and though the topics may not have been overly positive; it ended with us falling asleep, together. Of course, as romantic or amazing the both of us were thinking it was, my mother didn't particularly agree... But I wasn't intending on falling asleep with him in the first place! I was meaning to go back to my room to sleep... Honest! We just, kinda, crashed... :3

Heh, well on an unrelated note... Another day I decided to visit the school, which resulted in groups of students attempting to shield me from [Carl]'s potential view (I'll catch you up on our current situation in a bit), and lots of laughter and reminiscing on my part. As soon as I walked into the school I felt a pang of loss... That school meant so very much to me, and the fact that I'm no longer a student there hasn't completely hit home still, and it's been over 3 months!
Anyways, so I caught up with everyone at lunch; which was followed by me being ushered into the Year 11s QCS lesson which [Noodleton] was teaching... I was impressed with the weight loss he had clearly undergone on holidays; but that was soon erased by his continuous question asking directed at me, in front of the whole class, for me to answer. I mean... Yes, I did sit the QCS test recently, but that does not mean I wish to give all details of such events surrounding it! :P After the lesson, I found [Riot!] and my brother and proceeded to walk home; but not before accidentally passing [Carl] with which I saw a look of shock, switching quickly to pained anxiety, cross his face.

So, I'll explain our situation now... Last time I mentioned him on here, he was not talking to me for a bit after everything seemed 'fine'. Well, it appeared to be that he was not talking to me because he literally didn't feel like talking to me. He came back after a bit, and we continued as though nothing had happened (as we tend to do).
Then one night (a week or two after Ballina), we had just struck up a friendly conversation on Facebook, when not five minutes in he was calling me. I answered to his rage with the question "What is with [Riot!]'s profile picture?!?!". You see, [Dancer] had taken a photo of the two of us sitting close to each other and [Riot!] had set it as his profile picture. Though the two of them are not Facebook friends, I am assuming that one of [Carl]'s friends mentioned the picture to him, which he then searched to see it himself.
I managed to explain myself in a way that somewhat seemed to satisfy [Carl], but the next thing he said to me has haunted me up until this point, and still is!

"Don't ever see me or speak to me again."

True to those words, I haven't dared spoken to him since. But, up until recently, it was relatively easy to do... You see... [Carl] and I had such a unique bond that allowed us to be completely comfortable with each other and tell each other anything and everything... Me, being a constantly-stressed Aspergian, find it hard to speak about what's bothering me. Or, at least all of it... I've gotten better with people nowadays, but I still barely scratch the surface of what I'm really feeling most of the time... The only person I could tell EVERYTHING to, was [Carl].
The first month of not talking to him was easy. Not much was stressing me as I was catching up with people and life was fine as it was... The past couple of weeks, however, have been horrible.

School went back, leaving me alone. Yes, I have my group, but like I said... I don't seem to be catching up with them. And now I have University things worrying me... I am not going to mention everything that is concerning me right now; as this blog post is most likely going to be long enough, and I can't tell everything to the unknown public. I'm not that comfortable with you guys. :P

But, after seeing [Carl] at school, I've been stressed beyond relief... Any free moment I have to think, my thoughts stray to [Carl] and what I could be telling him right then... I'm used to telling [Carl] absolutely anything that happened to me. Now I'm not really telling anyone... [Riot!] is an amazing boyfriend; but I haven't gotten to that same point with him yet... It's difficult to explain, what I feel when I think of [Carl]. I don't feel any affections towards him above friendship... I just feel a massive loss, and a pining to hear him talk again. Have one of those midnight phone calls where we're confiding our problems to each other and trying to help the other one with theirs... I confided my daily activities and issues into [Carl] for around three years, and it's been cut off from me for around two months... And the closer it's getting to me starting Uni (as I'm nervous about moving out on my own, making friends etc), it's getting worse.

One person I have to give credit for helping me though, is [Sharpless] (or as he prefers to be known, [Mr Awesome] (don't ask...)). Anyways... This fellow is one of the most amazing friends I could ever ask for!

Whenever I'm down (even if he doesn't know I'm down), we'll start talking and his always-positive personality always wins me over in the end. He has the best sense of humour and our conversations normally last until one or two in the morning, which usually results in very interesting topics being brought up! :P
No matter how I'm feeling, or what we've discussed/are discussing; he never judges me, nor I him, and it's just sentence after teasing sentence thrown at each other. It's incredibly disappointing that he lives in another state currently, otherwise I'd be demanding catch up sessions as much as possible! Oh wait... I still sometimes do that... :3

So this leads us to present day... The 9th of February, 2012. And what am I doing? Lying on my bed, typing this all up for you, of course! But, I am also slowly cleaning out my room entirely (ready for the move), and am partially looking forward to the move; but am also utterly terrified.

I mean, I get three solid meals a day; as well as free gym membership (WIN! As I really do need to get into shape... Bad...). But, I'll be living on my own for the first time, far away from home in a place where I know nobody! It is incredibly nerve-wracking, but it is giving me a chance to begin exercising my independence I guess... Plus, new residents are invited to a party on the first night we move in to our rooms so... SCORE! Pretty sure there are two parties within the first week, and goodness knows how many other events throughout the year! Thinking about that has actually lifted my spirits and gotten me pretty excited... :P

Anyways... My brain is slowly beginning to fail on me as it hasn't been exercised in a long time; and I just made it write out this essay... I apologise for any boredom caused by this blog. Hehe.

~Deliver us from the ocean... Save our souls~

P.S. [Mr Awesome] was continually pestering me for a mention throughout the duration of me writing this blog; and felt that everybody needed to know...

Upside Down

So I'm blogging again tonight... Unfortunately, the reasons aren't as happy as the one I just posted... I guess I can blame [Sharpless] for this one. He meant no harm, but he said this to me over Facebook chat.

The point (which I'm sure you understand) of dating is finding a life partner,
The person who complements you in every way
The perfect person
The person whom, when you're 60, you still love with the same fire as when you first met
So all I'm saying is: don't settle for anything less than perfect. Find the guy. Your dream guy.
Down to every detail
And I think you will find that your dream guy has you in mind as a dream girl

Now, what he said was sweet, cute and completely true. And I know he said it out of partial concern for me, because let's face it; my relationship life is Home & Away material. But for some reason it has me completely freaked out now.

I mean, [Carl] isn't talking to me. I know he's on his laptop talking to other people, but he hasn't come on MSN. I would be better with this situation if I knew what the heck was going on! Not knowing is what kills. We were fine, last time I checked, then BAM! He's not talking to me... Well, we did talk about not talking to each other a couple of days before to see how things would go, moving on and such... But as far as I was aware, we hadn't decided on a definite, and seemed to still be talking..? Now all I do is stupidly flick the MSN window up to see if he's come online or not... What would I do if he was online? Absolutely nothing. I know I would. So what's the point? Ugh.

And [Riot!]. Well, to be honest there aren't many issues there... At least currently. I finally have him, and he is opening up more and more around me which is amazing to witness; but I guess I just still have this terrible feeling in the back of my mind.

I'm older. I've had boyfriends in the past. He's younger. And hasn't had girlfriends in the past. I'm pretty certain I know what love is. How can I be certain he does? How can HE be certain he does? It's difficult... He may deny it, or not think it now; but would he get bored eventually? Want to explore? Try other things? Will I do that? Again!? I did it to [Carl]... What's not to say I won't do it to [Riot!]? That. Is what I am most terrified about. My impact on him.

[Riot!] is as close to perfect as I've gotten so far. And I'm helping him through any issues that we have, and hinting him on his way to be even better! But, what if I suddenly go cold on him like I did to [Carl]? I can't deny that there was something between the both of us. It was something rare; but I somehow managed to detach myself and throw it away. Was it stupidity? Or did I just genuinely fall out of love with him?

There are so many things [Carl] did that I miss and so badly (and selfishly) want again. What is the smartest thing to do? 'Teach' [Riot!] to do it, so I could be satisfied, but never truly cut off my ties with [Carl]? Or do I not 'teach' him and regret it, or be bitter about it for however long we may be together?

I have never felt so helpless in my life. Spending time with [Riot!] eases everything. It makes everything go away and I have the best time. But as soon as he's gone, I'm stressing. I'm freaking out. Half the time I don't even know what over anymore!

In all honesty, I just want that pure feeling of love between two people. No hormones. No awkward "so what should we do now?". All I want, is to be with that certain someone, and cuddle up with them and just lie there for awhile. Whether it includes looking into each others eyes or not, or holding hands, or whatever! I just want that connection in those precious moments of silence. Because who needs words? The only words I would accept in that situation are "I love you". But only if I knew they truly meant it.

Well, my brain has run dry of anything else worrying me or upsetting me, so I might just wrap it up here and apologise if I have wasted anyone's time whilst reading this post. I am on holidays now, so I will just look forward to every day I get to spend with friends, family, or more!

~I only know one type of falling, and I'm falling for you~

Just A Rainy Summer Day Gov'nor!

Just casually trying to avoid the rain all day only to end up giving in, throwing my arms in the air and trying to catch drops with my tongue. Well, that's basically my day guys! Oh right, I guess there was more to it...

I started my day waking up early (as I have every day this week) to walk my sister to school; only to be told that she can be picked up and driven by a family friend. For once, I wasn't angry for being woken up for nothing. Though that could have been due to the fact that [Riot!] was heading over in an hour to walk to the local shopping centre with my brother and I. So going to bed would have been pretty pointless.

[Riot!] arrives. So what do we do? Play the online game we play together for half an hour to an hour before my brother finally rages at us to get our backsides into gear. We then proceed to walk to the local shopping centre. A 45 minute walk. In the rain. With two umbrellas between the three of us. Granted, [Riot!] and I had Dad's big umbrella, but [Riot!] seemed to have difficulties realising that he was getting more water on me then the sky was. I normally wouldn't have minded, if it weren't for the fact that we were heading to the shops to job hunt; meaning I needed to look semi-decent if I wanted to be considered at all.

Yes yes, I am still working at the restaurant, but they've employed more people now which has reduced me to one shift a week; and it's back in the kitchen too! I may stay there, I may not. Depending on what happens with Subway tomorrow...

YES! I got asked in for an interview today! Even though I had frizzy hair from the rain and probably looked simply dreadful, I managed it! I do feel a little bad for [Riot!] though because he handed in a resume there as well but didn't get asked in... Though I did have an advantage, given that I have previously worked at a Subway before... But I'm sure he'll find a job soon enough! He certainly looked the part today already in his dress shirt and pants ^.^ What's not to love about a guy dressing smart? Jus' sayin'.

So after I handed in my resume in, I sent the boys to EB Games for half an hour while I used one of the facial vouchers that [Carl] had given me for Christmas last year (they expire on the 16th, so I really need to use them up!). The facial was nice and relaxing, but the scalp massage was to die for! I was pretty much lulled to sleep due to relaxation and general feel-goodness. She complimented my skin too which just tops it off ;D Though she did say it's dehydrated, which is unfortunately true... Trying to fix it! Without the $93 bottle of crap she was trying to sell me... I mean, I'm sure it works, but I'm going to try find cheaper means...

After that we headed over to the bus stop (no way were we walking back home in the rain!) trying to work out the timetables (being the hopeless people we are) and eventually made it the bus stop (later realising there was one even closer to our destination but oh well!) and walked the short distance to my place.

Just [Riot!], my brother and me. Alone. In a house... So what do we do? Well, my brother goes on the computer and plays the new game he bought at EB Games; and [Riot!] and I? ... PLAY SINGSTAR! Like the awesome bitchez we are :3

Who cares if our voices are completely contrasting? Who cares if he can't sing in tune, and I can't even read the words properly or notice when it's my turn to sing? I don't know about him, but I had fun! Teasing each other about who was going to win, and picking the most random songs to do... Before to long it was time for him to leave, so I walked him home with an umbrella which he appeared to be without. It was this journey that I just gave up trying not to get wet from the rain, so by the end I looked like a drowned rat; much to [Riot!]'s agreement (gee thanks! :P).

An hour later I was dressed in a cute black and white dress and heading to my sister's Year 7 graduation night. She was in an adorable white dress with a black ribbon around the waist and looked quite mature and pretty. The pride swelling in my chest was annoyingly increasing as I saw her mingle with her friends dolled up just as gorgeously. When she got up (twice) to sing with a small group of friends my pride swelled to breaking point. Come on! This is my little, annoying brat of a sister! Yet, I guess I still love her and am proud of her by the end of the day! :3
Tons of photos, speeches, and awards later and we were heading back home. And now I am here! Sitting by my laptop, typing up my boring daily life for you. That's basically it. I don't have much more to say tonight. Mostly because I am too dang tired to think of anything spontaneously creative; same with most of my blogs really... When I want to do a fun, random one, my body goes "LOL JOKES! I'MA MAKE YOU TIRED", hence the semi-delusional lines as well.

Addio amici!

La Vita e Bella!

Hey there!

I might keep this one short and sweet because I am dead tired, and there's also not much to talk about except what's currently on my mind... Fair warning; this may be a boyfriend rant. Run away now if you must.

Everyday that we see each other, we get more comfortable around each other. We're continually learning new things about the other one, and having so much fun while doing so!

Now, for me, I am loving it. He keeps me on my toes! There always seems to be something new to discover about him and I love going in for the hunt. His emotion-hiding, mysterious ways keep me begging for more...

I mean, of course he's not perfect. Nobody is! And yeah, maybe there are some things I miss from previous relationships that I selfishly wish he'd do; but in the end his different (and ever improving) ways are so much better and worth the suffering I went through to get him.

It's just nice to finally be able to wake up in the morning with a spring in my step and no worries whatsoever, and feel time fly by; yet still appreciating every moment as it lasts. Especially today! Granted; I stayed up till 1am this morning writing my fanfic and woke up at 7am absolutely shattered, but I still managed to skip for a minute or so on the way to his house. On the way back, I felt so happy I was singing, dancing and half wanting to sprint home out of joy! Call me whatever you want, but nothing is gonna break my spirit, and I am already looking forward until the next time I see him! ^.^

School's Out!

Soooo guys... I know, I know... It's been a while... And to be perfectly honest with you; I don't really have a good enough explanation to save myself! I think it just comes down to laziness, tiredness, and busy-ness.

Wow... I left you at the beginning of Week 5 of Term 4... Well, let's just say I am way beyond that now so we have a lot of catching up to do!!!

Let's be frank here, the rest of Week 5 was spent doing school work, which sucks, therefore I do not need to elaborate there. I will say that in out last Chemistry lesson, our teacher put Sodium into Water after much begging and whining from us. Unfortunately, there was no Potassium, but the Sodium created enough fireworks to keep us happy! :)

Week 6 was our last exam block ever. On the Monday, I had (from memory) a Biology test and the English written assignment due. The Biology test I think I did well in (I have not received any results back except for Maths because I forgot...), and the English assignment I have no idea; but I like to think I am quite capable with the language, so I'm sure I did fine.
The next day I had my Maths B exam, and Physics oral assignment due.
I got my results back for my Maths B exam and I'm pretty sure I got C+/B- which is the best I have done in Maths over the two years... Too bad it was in the last term when it didn't count! =.= As for the Physics, well... I don't think I did that great. Let's face it. I handed in five pages, compared to everyone else who had 17+. But, I passed in the end regardless!

Wednesday I stayed home... Most likely procrastinating as I always do. Thursday involved me working six hours straight on my Chemistry assignment from start to finish. Resulting in over 6,000 words, and an exhausted [Miss Invisible] riding to school and handing it in last minute much to my teacher's distress. The end of the day consisted of me walking home with [Riot!] which was a lot nicer than half sprinting there...

Friday was a much appreciated day off which I spent playing The Sims 2... Like the awesome person I am ;D The weekend was a quiet one, spent mostly mentally preparing myself for my final week of school (EVER!) which was upon me...

And there it was! My final week of school... The Monday was spent walking to a local restaurant where we were to have our Valedictory Dinner that night. For those confused, a VD is a night of celebration for just the Year 12s and their families. We were given our awards (if we had achieved any), had dinner, socialised, sung a Phil Collins song, took photos, laughed, and for some of us; cried... That was the night I learnt that I had not achieved the Creative Arts Award. Now... This was the award that I had been working towards all year. Instead, a Year 9 girl got it. I've never been a big fan of this girl (perhaps because I knew she was my competition?), and to find out she had gotten the award and not me; was completely devastating...

Tuesday was spent at the Logan Entertainment Centre rehearsing the Night of Celebration. basically the same thing as the VD, except we didn't have dinner, and it was the rest of the school as well! Well, not exactly... Because our school is now at that 'awkward' size where we had to cut years from the night. It ended up only being Years 6, 9, 11 and 12 that were presented... From memory. Award winners were also presented.

Wednesday the Year 12s headed to the beach on the Gold Coast. The surf was refreshing, the lunch was mediocre but nice enough, and we were all in relatively high spirits. Then [Macca] had to bring out a little service for us, which ended in the handing out of letters our parents had written to us to read that day. I am most certainly not going to write what was written in that letter on here, but I will reveal that it made me start bawling at the second line; and continued right until the end, with a few giggles here and there with whatever funny line my Dad inserted. Halfway through reading, I looked up and saw a flock of seagulls chilling around me which made me confused, entertained, and partially comforted (somehow); and I'm pretty sure I was the last to head back to the main area as all I could do was sit under a tree, cry and think about what my parents had said to me.

Ahem, I should move on...

So yeah, in the past three days so far, I had successfully managed to bawl my eyes out... All three days. I was quite emotionally drained at this point and wondering how on earth I would get through the other two days.

Thankfully, Thursday was spent at Dreamworld! There wasn't many people there, so the lines were nice and short, which made it even more amazing! From memory we managed to go on the Mick Doohan, The Claw (Yes! My dear husband [Phantomess] helped me conquer my fear with this one... So grateful now!), The Log Ride (which consisted of [Tenuto Tuo], [Phantomess] and myself sitting in the boat and splashing each other until we were completely drenched before the ride had even started... The guy at the end of the ride looked quite surprised at how wet we were and the childish, slightly maniacal, laughter that was coming from us. So. Worth. It.), The Runaway Reptar (which the name has now changed to I have no idea what, because it appears that Nickelodeon has nothing to do with Dreamworld anymore), The Merry-Go-Round (Hell yeah we did! [Clearly Unfocused] and I spotted it on the way to the Stingray ride and immediately told everyone we should go on it. The lady was nice and joked along with us about the ride being too adrenaline-filled, but it was so simple and fun that it was nice! I mean, it was our last chance to do it as students!!!), (Oh and the Stingray ride with [Clearly Unfocused] and I was a tradition that we just had to do. I need not fill in what that is to you, fellow readers ^.^), and we also went on the River Rapids multiple, MULTIPLE times. Another tradition of the groups. It is the best ride at Dreamworld in our eyes, and always will be.

That night I, annoyingly, had work; but overall the day was amazing. Every day of the last week was, but Dreamworld, was one of the best by far! Oh, and I forgot to mention that I saw an old primary school flame there... I shall call him [LongTie], but I walked past him a couple of times wondering if I should say "hi" or not, but was too chicken in the end... That evening he posted on my wall asking where I was as he didn't see me, and I literally kicked myself at not having the balls to go up to him, but what's done is done I guess.

The last day of school...

We arrived at the Senior campus of our school to catch a bus to our Junior one to have our first ceremony there. Our oldest residing students gave speeches, Prep's came up to us and gave us presents and shook our hands with their tiny ones, we were serenaded and had the violins play for us; and finally, we walked down the "snake", out of the school for good. For those confused, the 'snake'  is pretty much as it sounds... A snake made of tiles winding it's way through the courtyard. A tradition for graduating Year 12s is to walk along the snake, through the clapping years going from Prep up to 5; occasionally hugging ones we know and high-fiving others. And, of course, bawling our eyes out in the process.
We then headed back to the Senior campus for our major ceremony there. Teacher's gave speeches, the band myself and my group play in played Mamma Mia for the last time (tears were had), and then I got up to sing Nickelback's 'Photograph' (with editted lyrics to suit the situation more). What did the tech crew tell me? "There's no music". NO MUSIC?! * Cue hyperventilation*. Eventually, I somewhat gathered myself, and sang A Capella. I had printed a whole heap of photographs for my fellow grads to look through as I was singing, and I stopped multiple times due to choking up. At first it was due to sheer nerves (I was about to clinically insane), but as I warmed into the song it was more emotion that choked me up. I didn't sound as good as I hoped I would, but I got through it, and received multiple compliments, hugs and thank you's afterward, so I wasn't complaining.
Afterwards the Year 12s made our way down the hill (Junior campus snake style), stopping and hugging more people; and eventually made our way into the Library where there was a beautiful cake made by a fellow grad's Mum, we signed each other's shirts/year books, [Clearly Unfocused] and [Old Man] had made us a power point with memories, and I handed out my Christmas pressies to a handful of favoured teachers.
[Tenuto Tuo] and I then headed to the local shopping centre to have lunch, when we ran into [Clearly Unfocused] and [Old Man]. We joined them at Toscani's where [GoJo] and another grad could also be seen eating. Later on, those two went on to get piercings, which they proudly showed off. After lunch, we all finally headed home and I crashed onto my bed; physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted.

After a lazy Saturday, came Sunday morning; driving down to Caloundra for Schoolies! Now now... For those of you who have heard about the Schoolies based in Surfer's Paradise, QLD; don't fret! My group and I are nothing like that. We prefer to remember all the stupid things we do! Besides, we act drunk enough without even needing to touch the stuff! ;D
Ahhh Schoolies... I miss it so much already! It was an amazing week! Some days were spent at the beach being pounded by the waves, or just sitting in the shallow water rolling around and being "beached as broo"; and other days were spent lazing around our holiday house. Most of those days included eating pretty much 24/7 (pretty sure there wasn't an hour that went by without us raiding the pantry or fridge), playing Twister (interesting stuff happened there...), singing karaoke (with our de-LIGHT-full voices; it was amazing, jus' sayin'), staying up past midnight watching [vs49688] play F.E.A.R. 2, cooking four packets of two-minute noodles to barely have any because it tasted so bad; so they were thrown in a bush in the backyard and are most likely still there, making Sims - matching them as closely to the group as possible, and crashing on the couch (or floor in [vs49688]'s case). We went shopping, had a BBQ, made interesting meals for dinner, played a heck of a lot of Halo, watched a fair amount of Eurovision, had chicken nuggets for breakfast, had nowhere near enough sleep, and... The Game of Truth. This! Was ultimately one of the best parts of the week. Seven people gathered in a lounge room, though awkward at first, eventually spilling any secrets/hardships/fears they were willing to share (which ended up being most between us) with no shame or judgement. [vs49688]'s emotional, classical music was playing in the background - encouraging even more tears to flow. If I am going to remember my friends for anything, it would be that night. The trust and love that brought us so tightly together was breath taking and truly moving. That night made me truly realise how much these guys mean to me and how I never EVER want to lose contact with them.

Well... The week after Schoolies was spent at home. Pretty much every day. It was nice, lazy and relaxing.
Tuesday [Carl] came over. We watched The Lion King and danced to Nickelback's new album (the songs in this album are so amazing! I can't get enough!!!). It was fun, but in the end it was inevitable that things would get awkward. He dropped me off at school for my last Chamber Singers rehearsal before things got too awkward, but that night and the following day things were iffy between us. A small fight occurred between us, and we are now not talking. I didn't incur it. In fact, I don't think either of us incurred it. He has just stopped coming online, and I just ended up blocking him so I wouldn't keep having the urge to see if he's online or not. (It's a habitual thing).
Wednesday night I went to the Christmas Carol evening that my school held, in which I was performing in with Choir, Chamber Singers, and the band. The night, overall, was up and down. I spent time with [Riot!] which is always fun, but an issue arose which caused me to grow upset - which was not helped when [Carl] was continually coming up to me (we were still talking at this point) asking me what was wrong (of which I could not explain to him) and complaining to me about his stomach ache (I am not heartless, I was just too distressed to care about his issues at that point).

All the other days have been lazy, at home, playing a game of Cluedo with the sister at one point, walking to the fish and chip shop at another, a work shift somewhere in there. Until today when I headed over to [Riot!]'s house for a swim, and a song session ^.^ There is nothing wrong with belting out the lyrics to For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic by Paramore, even though the lyrics may not totally match the situation... :P

Sooo... I have other things on my mind, but I shall leave that for tomorrow's blog perhaps. I have written enough here and caught y'all up on everything that has happened in my totes-awesome life; so that will do for now! I apologise a thousand times over for any of you devoted readers who have felt lost without my words for the past couple of months! Heh. ^.^

Oh, and GUYS GUESS WHAT!? I am in the process of beginning to write a fanfic! :D! It will be based on the online game I play and the movie Stardust, so who knows what it will turn out like... But I am keen to put my beautiful describing words to use to form what will hopefully be a pretty awesome story! :) If I feel like it, I may post chapters on here as I write them; but I can't promise anything right now.

~You call to me, and I fall at your feet. How could anyone ask for more?~
